My second work inspired by Apple's movie "The Gorge”, this time focusing on the east Tower.
I modeled the two towers, the gorge cliffs, and the mountains, to recreate a large-scale environment resembling the one shown in the film.
I used Blender for modeling and Substance 3D Painter for texturing. The gorge cliffs and the surrounding terrains were made in Houdini using its heightfield system, while the mountains were built in Gaea and exported as height maps, then used to displace heightfields in Houdini and finally exported as meshes to Blender.
